RSVP to attend a workshop

We wrote to businesses and residents within the Markhouse Village area in October last year to inform you about a number of improvements we intended to take forward in the short term to improve the look of the area and make it easier to get around. We also said that while these initial improvements were being delivered we would be working on longer term plans that would be consulted on and delivered during the next financial year (2018/19), when further funding would be made available by TfL.

The initial improvements are now complete and hopefully you will have seen the new public space by Queens Road Station, the new zebra crossing on Queens Road by the Adult Learning Centre, and the new pavements in Kirk Road which provide safer access for pedestrians.

The next stage will involve a series of local workshops so that you can help us shape the plans further. The workshops will include a variety of presentations, discussions and group exercises, where you will be able to give your views on how to reduce traffic volumes and speed, where new crossings are needed and which areas can be improved with safer junctions and better public spaces.

Workshop events were completed in June 2018.

We are now reviewing feedback received during the workshops to inform plans to consult on during a Public Consultation later in the year. Please visit the website for updates.
